:::Design Guide:Heroine/Mythical::::
![]() Heroic Mythical Female Figures for the Second level of the rose Level 2 - Mythical/Heroine
These are seven mythic 'Heroine' figures taken from legend. There are many examples of heroine figures in legends across the world and suggestions are welcome. They may be actual historical persons - like Boadicea or Joan of Arc - who have attained mythic status. Of particular interest are mythical figures who need redemption from a negative past - like Eve or Lilith. Send the story of your character with your image. In order to avoid argument do not use famous women from the present or recent past. Heroine panels are full length single figures with red backgrounds. The Satellite circles should contain appropriate symbolic images related to the character's particular story.

Design notes for Lilith With Lilith the controlling geometry governs the proportions of the main figure and its features as well as the outer tracery. The centre is geometrically focused just below the navel - the womb. As the red background is to be common for all 'Heroine' figures so blue and gold on the body and wings was used for a powerful contrast.
The blue usd for the figure offsets the nakedness of the figure and allows for a more symbolic representation of the details of nipples and pubic hair in gold stain - decorative details rather than realistic representation. consequently they have the same weight as the clawed talons, jewellery and crown. As this is a full figure the head - in order to be seen clearly at a distance of 30 feet from the ground - is bigger proportionally than the figure. The figure is also outlined in clear etched white for greater visibility. nformation see Lilith.
