:::Guidelines for Workshops:::

Please read the guidelines below if you are visiting a workshop for the first time - otherwise you can access the workshops by clicking on the image above.

You need to work with each other to agree on the following: You can use the guidelines on the website or change the m if you mutually agree but you need to ensure your images are compatible, read from a distance and have colour themes in common so that they are harmonious.

Below are the main areas for discussion:

  1. Colour of main figures background
  2. Size of figures and clarity of main image
  3. Clarity of symbolic items
  4. Background details (small trees) (houses or whatever)
  5. Balance of colours overall in the whole section
  6. Borders - these could be in common or with a linking theme - i.e. the same patterns but slightly different colours - or the same colour and different patterns.
  7. Patterns in the smaller tracery panels

Please use your login name at all times

Be polite- Ask questions before making suggestions

Remember constructive criticism works best

Be prepared to compromise on details

Set a time limit for your meetings - 1 hour

Let everyone know if you can't make it to the next meeting (not just the Editor) and suggest other times

Make sure everyone gets a chance to comment

Don't let anyone talk for too long - keep to time

Summarize process regularly Keep everyone on task

Try to make for a consensus before you finish - put it to a vote if necessary

Make a date/time for the next meeting

Email main decisions of the group to everyone and/or you can request the Editor to send you all a chat log from the archive

 

Appoint a moderator to keep you on task if necessary-

Speak in turn (say Pass if you need time to think.)

Be patient some people can type quicker than others so allow time for thinking (2-3 minutes)

Use conversation openers like:
I like the ... but I don't like the...
I will ... if you will...
Allow the moderator to adjudicate in disputes
