Owl goddess by Deborah John with edited version

The images below were sent to the site in 1994 when there was a postal call for entries and were scanned by the editor. They were watercolour and gouache on paper and the original images can be found in the Gallery

Editing is done in order to ensure compatibility to the designs and render them suitable for a full scale projection. Colour values and hues may need to be changed as well as borders but all artists will be consulted about the changes and every effort will be made to keep the design as near to the original as possible.

Generally editing will be done together on line in workshop but if final agreement cannot be reached both images will be displayed. However for any eventual projection the Curator reserves the right to make any final adjustments necessary for the harmony of the whole.

Please note that original images belong to the artist and will not be used with out permission but edited images are the property of the project.

Edited Owl goddess by Deborah John

Deborah's initial design was a subtle watercolour which although beautiful in itself would not be legible in a design of the scale of the rose window.

Editorial Notes for

In the editing process I have adjusted the colours so that they would be more like a medieval palette and so bolder and legible at a distance.

Edited Midwives panel by Ingrid Pichler

Ingrid's panel was presented on the Heroine level panel and is better suited to the Women's Work level.

Editorial Notes for Midwives

I have put it into the proper tracery but I have had to sacrifice one of the satellite circles she describes in her panel. I took out the last one about post natal care.

Editorial Notes for Three Muses by Caroline Huyse

Caroline's panel did not have any tracery pieces so I have added them for a more complete effect.
